SA_QuMOS: CMOS-Based On-Chip Platform for Quantum Technologies

2015–2019          Enabling the large-scale integration of quantum devices

The goal of the QuMOS project is to develop a Si-based platform for quantum devices with unique scalability, stability and robustness, based on an adapted CMOS (Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor) process. The first application and a figure-of-merit for the processing quality is a quantum current standard. It is crucial, when the ampere will be redefined by fixing the value of the elementary charge. More generally, the developed QuMOS platform will be a key enabling technology for the large-scale integration of quantum devices, for example, quantum bits.
