PhotoLED: Future photometry based on solid-state lighting products

2016–2019          Supporting the change from incandescent lamps to LED lampsPhotoLED.png

New photometry techniques and standards based on LEDs are required because traditional incandescent lamps are being replaced by solid-state lighting (SSL) products, typically LEDs.

Project develops new standard lamps based on LEDs to be used as calibration sources in photometry and new measurement techniques for their characterisation.

MIKES studies the compatibility of the new standard lamps with the existing standards and selects LED-based candidate standard lamps.
