2015–2018 Improved metrology and characterisation techniques for photonics industry
New methods and improved metrology that are reliable and traceable are needed for
novel components used in photonics systems.
Project develops characterisation techniques for photonic devices and components as well as calibration techniques and reference materials for fibre measuring instruments.
MIKES develops methods to measure group velocity and dispersion in fibres as well as dimensional parameters of fibres.
